Volunteer Opportunity: Visitation Room Revitalization for Houston CPS Offices
Safe Babies is partnering with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to enhance Visitation Rooms at the Houston Bissonnet CPS offices. These rooms are essential spaces where parents and children can enjoy family time during weekly visits. Our goal is to create a safe, inviting, and age-appropriate environment for infants and toddlers, fostering comfort and care for all who visit.
We are looking for volunteers to join us on November 18-19 for this important project! Volunteers will help with:
- Painting
- Cleaning and disinfecting
- Building furniture
- Hanging artwork
- Setting up toys and carpets
Location: Houston Bissonnet CPS Offices
Volunteer Shifts: 2-hour time slots from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 18+; children 17 and under are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
